About Us

• The Intensive Care Unit at Dandenong Hospital is an eight-bed unit providing care for more than 600 critically ill patients per year.
• We have a wide range of patients, with a large proportion of emergency admissions. We strive to establish and maintain optimal management of the critically ill patient with a multi-disciplinary approach.
• All staff are committed to developing excellence in all services through continuous quality improvement, the development and maintenance of high ethical standards, communication and accountability for efficiency and effectiveness.
• We offer strong support to all staff members with a unit based Clinical Nurse Educator, preceptorship program and commitment to a team approach to patient care. We support post graduate critical care students and a career development program.
