Dandenong Hospital is one of Melbourne's major acute hospitals providing a range of services to the people living in Dandenong and surrounding areas.

Dandenong Hospital provides a number of general and specialist services.

These services include general medical and surgical including orthopaedic services, an intensive care unit, cardiac care unit, rehabilitation and aged services, pathology and radiology, a maternity unit and special care nursery, children's services, allied health services and psychiatric facilities.

Dandenong Hospital provides a number of intensive and specialist services to all patients and especially emergency patients. These services include:

• Intensive Care Unit
• Cardiac Care Unit
• Emergency Operating Theatre (access 7 days a week, 24 hours per day)
• Pathology and Radiology (services available 24 hours per day)
• Specialist services including neurosurgery, thoracic surgery, paediatrics, orthopaedics, vascular. Plastics, gynaecology, cardiology, respiratory and infectious diseases
• Additional services include a maternity unit and special care nursery, allied health services and inpatient psychiatric facilities

There are also primary care services at the hospital, including Alcohol & Drug Liaison, Post Acute Care, Community Rehabilitation and an After Hours Primary Care Clinic.

The Hospital recently celebrated its 60th year of service to the Dandenong community. The hospital is mid-way through a multi-million dollar upgrade of facilities that will further improve the services available to the community.
