Our clinical outcomes 2009/10

Surgical operations	43 000 emergency and elective operations performed
Hospital patients	193 000 patients received treatment and care as inpatients at our hospitals
Outpatient services	626 000  people received care as outpatients at 375 clinics
Emergency	172 000 people came to our three emergency departments at Clayton, Dandenong, Casey
Total episodes of care	1.51 million episodes of care provided across our services to the community
Births	8 600 new Victorians delivered (including births at Jessie McPherson Private Hospital)
Children	29 000 children under age 19 were admitted to our Monash Children's wards and neonatal units
Ambulance arrivals	44 000 ambulances handled at emergency departments
