No Smoking on this site

Southern Health is currently refreshing and strengthening the No Smoking policy across the organisation. The current “Thank you for supporting Totally Smokefree” signs will be changed to “No Smoking permitted anywhere on this site”.

In addition to the change in signs there are a number of initiatives to strengthen the No Smoking message across Southern Health, including removal of all butt bins across sites and the clean-up of cigarette butts within the grounds.

We see the damage caused by smoking in our daily work. It is the leading cause of respiratory disease, many cancers and heart disease.

We provide support for our staff to quit and support to patients to start the quit process.

If you are a smoker, please make the decision to quit. Excellent support is available through QUIT Victoria and the QUIT Helpline T: 13 7848.

Please do not smoke within our boundaries. Smoking is not permitted anywhere
