Evidence Review Service

Evidence Reviews are undertaken to inform decisions at organisation-wide or program level. For further information and assistance, please complete an Evidence Request Form.

Evidence Dissemination Service

The Evidence Dissemination Service (EDS) has recently been launched and made available to all Southern Health staff. It was developed by CCE as part of the SHARE project.

EDS aims to deliver high quality synthesised evidence from sources that meet rigorous methodological criteria to clinicians who make decisions about the use of therapeutics, technologies and clinical practices at Southern Health. Synthesised evidence includes systematic reviews, health technology assessments, evidence-based guidelines and horizon scanning sources.

Users can sign up online and elect to receive evidence updates in their area of interest via weekly email bulletins.

Southern Health staff can find out more information and sign up via the CCE page on the intranet (click on the Evidence Dissemination Service link).

Education and Training

CCE can provide education and training in a range of areas related to evidence-based practice.

Evaluation Service

The Evaluation Service was established in 2009 with the goal of building an evaluative culture across Southern Health. Its role is to encourage and support staff to plan and conduct rigorous and comprehensive evaluations that will enhance evidence-informed decision-making across the organisation.

There are six key components of the Evaluation Service:

  • advice and support for planning and conducting evaluations
  • register of external evaluation consultants
  • evaluation tools and resources
  • evaluation training and education
  • evaluation knowledge network for staff
  • evaluation activity database

Southern Health staff can find out more about the Evaluation Service on the intranet.

Project Management

We have project management experience in all areas of evidence-based practice change - synthesis, implementation and evaluation. Please see the projects page for further details.
