We seek to use the most effective methods available and evaluates the quality of our educational programs. Access to simulation education
The Southern Health Simulation and Skills Centre has developed an international reputation for the quality of its simulation-based training for healthcare individuals and teams. The centre focusses on medical and technical skills acquisition and training. The centre provides a number of courses to a broad range of health professionals including:
- junior and senior resident medical staff
- emergency department nurses/medical staff
- anaesthetic nurses/medical staff
- midwives and obstetric medical staff
- undergraduate medical students
- undergraduate nurses
- international medical graduates
- paramedics
- rural GP anaesthetists and anaesthetic or recovery staff
Vocational education
Trainees from recognised college training programs are well supported by our Directors of Vocational Training and specialised local programs. These trainees support the diversity of training options at Southern Health.
