Mooraleigh Hostel is a low care home (hostel) for 29 residents. It provides care for older people suffering from dementia or other psychiatric illness who require specialist care.
Mooraleigh comprises five small houses allowing residents to be as independent as possible while benefiting from supportive care in a safe and secure environment

- quiet and relaxing garden areas
- comfortable lounge and dining areas
- activity areas
- hairdressing service
- kitchenette facilities
- visiting dentist, podiatrist, physiotherapists and other allied health professionals
- lifestyle program
Referral
Referrals come from Community Aged Persons Mental Health teams and Aged Persons Mental Health acute care services.
Residents may also be referred from other residential aged care homes if specialist care or behavioural needs arise.
Once the resident is deemed not to require the specialty care of our Aged Persons Mental Health, plans a developed with the family and carers to establish alternate permanent care arrangements.
