Monash Children's Special Care Nursery
Work has been finalised on the new Special Care Nursery extending our capacity from six to 20 cots.There were 1,297 babies born at Casey Hospital in 2008-09 an increase of 13 per cent on the previous year. This new development will assist us to provide the specialist care needed by premature and at risk babies.
The $5.2 million project was funded by the Victorian Government and completed by October 2010. It was officially opened by the Premier John Brumby and Minister for Health Daniel Andrews.
