Dandenong Hospital celebrates launch of new Mental Health Redevelopment.
The Honorable Mary Wooldridge Minister of Mental Health, unveiled the commemorative plaque at today’s official launch at Southern Health’s Dandenong Hospital, marking the completion of stage one of the redevelopment.
The $69 million redevelopments will see an increase in inpatient beds from 77 to 120 and will allow the hospital to treat more patients in a purpose-built environment with state-of-the-art facilities.
“The redevelopments are part of a plan to improve health and economic outcomes for people with mental illness, their families, carers and friends”, the Minister said.
