Maternity care - having a baby
Southern Health has birthing services at three of our hospitals: Casey Hospital , Dandenong Hospital and Monash Medical Centre (MMC) Clayton.
Women with good health and a normal pregnancy may be booked at Casey Hospital or Dandenong Hospital with limited low risk bookings at Monash Medical Centre Clayton.
Women with more complicated pregnancies will be offered a booking according to the level of care needed at either Dandenong Hospital or Monash Medical Centre Clayton.
Monash Medical Centre Clayton is the only tertiary level hospital and we prioritise high risk pregnancies to book at this site.
