Research Australia have launched the 'Research Australia Philanthropy Register' website. You can lodge a summary of your research proposal on a register and then Research Australia will assist in trying to match it to philanthropic organisations to invest in it.

The Research Directorate has put together a grants calendar to assist researchers to plan ahead for grant applications. Please keep in mind that your administrative institution may require you to submit your application in-house for administrative protocols and these dates may be up to a month earlier than the closing date of the grant.

There is an amazing range of infrastructure and resources available to the biomedical research community in Victoria. Much of this is centralised within biomedical core/platform technology facilities throughout many of the research institutions in the State. The use of biomedical core facilities can increase productivity in your research. Talk to the facility manager and factor its use into your budget when preparing your grant for 2011.
