Emerging Researcher Fellowships 2012 - now open
The 2012 Emerging Researcher Fellowships (ERFs) funding round is now open for applications. The primary purpose of the Emerging Researcher Fellowships is to invest in early research career individuals, with significant potential for a research career and for whom a fellowship would contribute to that end. The Fellowship is to encourage Southern Health employees to conduct a translational research project that is related to clinical services and to target emerging researchers.
It is intended that a maximum of 6 Fellowships valued at either $10,000 or $15,000 each, depending on the nature of the research, be awarded in 2012. Applications will be considered from all health-related disciplines: allied health professionals, nurses, medical practitioners and scientists. The 2012 ERF application form together with guidelines and conditions are available online.
The closing date for applications is Monday 30 January 2012 and successful recipients will be notified in early February 2012. If you would like to find out more about the Emerging Researcher Fellowships and Research at Southern Health, Malar Thiagarajan can attend departmental seminars, journal clubs or grand rounds to give a presentation. Please contact Malar Thiagarajan if you would like to arrange this.
