The Research Directorate is delighted to announce that the Southern Health Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) A is officially recognised and ranked as the leading HREC Committee for application turnaround times in Victoria. The Consultative Council for Human Research Ethics (CCHRE) Streamlined Ethical Review of Multi-Centre Trials performance results of all 8 accredited HREC's for Victoria have been released for the period bewteen Dec 2009 to 30 June 2011.
Southern Health's HREC's A and B were ranked 1st and 3rd for performance within benchmark key performance indicators. Congratulations to the Research Directorate Team members and the HREC members in particularly the Chairs; Professor Mel Korman (HREC A) and Dr Simon Bower (HREC B) for this outstanding result.
